How the Commission Process Works
Every commissioned painting begins with a conversation. We'll discuss your vision, subject matter, and the story you'd like your artwork to tell. Once we have a clear direction, you'll choose the canvas size that best fits your space and budget. Each canvas size has a fixed price, making the process simple and transparent before your custom artwork begins.

The Commission Process
Every commissioned painting begins with a personal consultation designed to bring your vision to life. During our consultation, we'll discuss your inspiration, subject matter, artistic style, important details, and your desired completion timeline. Once we've finalized your concept, you'll choose the canvas size that best fits your space. Follow the steps below to see how the rest of the commission process works.
Step 1- Share Your Vision
Begin with a personal consultation where we'll discuss your vision, subject matter, artistic style, reference photos, important details, desired timeline, and any special requests. This conversation ensures your artwork is thoughtfully planned before moving forward.
Step 2- Choose Your Canvas Size
After we've discussed your vision, you'll select the canvas size that best fits your space, style, and budget. Each size has a fixed commission price, allowing you to make a confident decision before your artwork begins.
Step 3-Review & Sign Your Commission Agreement
Once we've finalized your vision, canvas size, and project details, I'll prepare your Custom Art Commission Agreement and send it to you via email for review. The agreement outlines your selected canvas size, project details, estimated completion timeline, payment schedule, and commission terms, so you can move forward with complete confidence. Once you're comfortable with everything, simply sign and return the agreement.
Step 4- Secure Your Commission
Once your signed Commission Agreement has been received, a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total commission cost is required to secure your place in my commission schedule. Once both your signed agreement and deposit have been received, your commission is officially reserved, and I'll schedule your painting to begin.
Step 5-Creation Begins
With your commission officially reserved, I'll begin creating your custom painting by hand using professional-quality materials and careful attention to every detail. Depending on the scope of your commission, I'll also share progress updates as your artwork comes to life.
Step 6- Your Artwork Is Ready
Once your painting is complete, I'll carefully prepare it for its final presentation. If you'd like to preview your finished artwork before delivery, I'm happy to provide photographs upon request. Once the remaining balance has been received, your original painting will be professionally packaged for shipping or prepared for pickup, ready to become a lasting part of your home or collection.

What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround times vary depending on the size and complexity of your commission. Most paintings are completed within 3–5 weeks. I'll provide an estimated timeline before work begins and keep you updated throughout the process.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Because every commission is created specifically for you, deposits and completed custom artwork are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your commission before work begins, please contact me as soon as possible. If you have any concerns during the process, I'll do my best to work with you to find a fair solution.
How will my commissioned painting be shipped?
Your completed painting will be carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely. Shipping costs are based on the canvas size and are listed in the Canvas Sizes & Pricing guide. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your artwork ships.
